Just found out today that my 944S is quite rare. Not because they only made a small amount of 944S's - but because mine is a "Canadian" version. Turns out they only made 188 of these and only in '88. Can anyone back this up or debunk this?? I'd like to know if this is true or not.
By the way - a "Canadian" version has the speedo is Kilometres ONLY, I guess that is the only difference.
Now I can say to people - "I have a Porsche AND it's one of only 187 (or less, by now) like it in the whole WORLD!!!" (he, he). Nice to be able to say that, even thought it really doesn't mean anything.
Anyone know anything about this whole "Canadian" version thing?

I'm pretty sure my car is rare, its lemon yellow, a color produced only in 87, in very limited numbers. I've only seen 2 other lemon yellow cars. There is one guy on the pelican bbs and I found the photo in my avatar oon ribs' site.

Probably more differences than just the obvious speedo differences...
On my Canadian 88 turbo S (Silverrose) which is 1 of 13(!!!), I've seen the following differences:
1) No airbags (US has dual airbags)
2) 10 speaker system is not standard (mine has the 'normal' setup)
3) Every single Canada Silverrose turbo S I've seen has EXTERNALLY adjustable rear shocks, - every one. (I've seen at least 5 of them)
It's wierd.

I say mine is damn rare, nothing exceptional as far as options or whatever, just that no more seem to be around

Sienna Red w9w9
It has every available option PERIOD from the factory at that time. It also has ~46k Original miles =)
