Mine is one of 250...I think the larger turbo sized wheels outweigh the silly cloth interior.

Good news is, on Feb 28th (when I close on my house), I get to register the car and get plates! Should be driving it that weekend, just in time for my birthday!

Presents, you ask? Well, I may need:

New muffler, exhaust
New Clutch (maybe)
New shocks/struts
New motor mounts

mind if she's made out of "lined" paper and glue sticks? (some assembly required, of course)

rpms, pretty sureI saw you a couple of days ago on western blvd. (I was driving a white accord coupe, passed you on the right). Was that you?

I've been seeing a lot of turbos/S2s in/around Raleigh/Cary in the last 2 weeks... I should be driving my 944 mid day tomorrow, and my turbo by around mid next month.

Stone Grey Metallic vs Silver Rose. Who's got pix so I can see the difference. I was visiting the tax man yesterday and there was a metallic grey colored turbo in the lot with phone dial rims. I believe it had black interior but it might have been burgandy (I didn't go check). License plate from Florida said "MANGO" but we are both up in Annapolis, MD.

As for mine, I have option code 757 (Special Model 1988 944). That combined with the fact that mine's an automatic, probably makes mine a 1 of 100 cars made - no telling how many are still on the road

I don't know how many 944S2's they made in 1991 this color. But I've never even seen another Porsche of any kind this color.

According to my VIN I've got one of the last 10 968's produced. The PO also claims it was the last black one pumped out of the factory as well - I'm still meaning to check that out with PCNA.

Clem

ps - Raceit, I love the color.
pps - AndyK, I was meaning to comment on the seat patterns in your new ride - SWEET.

This page has some interesting production stats.

re: silver rose vs. stone grey. The stone grey is pretty muted, and not very silverish, I think the silver rose is significantly more "silver" and metallic looking. afaik.

Steve,
Mine's the same color, deep red wine color. Not sure of the official name. Mine's an '89 NA AT, and just passed the 150K milestone yesterday! I believe '89 was the year they bumped the engine capacity to 2.7 litres from 2.5, and I think this was the last year before they were all S2's or turbo's with 3.0 litres. Anyway guess that makes the 2.7 fairly rare.
