Are there two dents? One on the door and the other on the rear quarter panel?

Iceman is right, you can get easily 50% of the dent(s) out just be pushing it out from the inside, you can also get suction cups and pull the dented area out a little bit at a time.

Don't touch it until you talk to the paintless dent guy. I've had the service done many times over the years and they all say the same thing - it'll come out better if you let them do it. I had a big, creased dent on the roof of my Grand Cherokee from the PO - they did a fantastic job of getting it out. They fixed a dent on the rear quarter of my 4th Gen F-body that was worse than yours and the only tell was the chipped paint where the crease came to the edge of the wheel opening. They got the creases out in both instances.

My only complaint is that on the Formula, they drilled a 1" hole in the passenger side door jamb. They plugged it with a factory looking plug, but I didn't like where they drilled it.

It can be done. PDr requires access behind the door skin. Older cars like 944 have less bracing inside the door which makes it easier. Sedans are easier the coupes for this reason

PDR guy here. Both of those dents are very doable with PDR. The bodylines can be a little tricky but not impossible. For both of those dent your quote should be around $300-400.

Met with a PDR today and he said my door dent can't be repaired. He said 12 hours of effort would just change the dent to something else but not even slightly better. Anyone have any other contacts worth asking in Northern Nj?

I work in the body shop industry and a good pdr tech can do almost anything as long as the paint is not cracked and it is not on an edge. The trouble is finding a really good tech. There are a lot of tech that talk a big game but don't produce the results. I would suggest talking to some high end eager ships and asking for the name of ther tech. Almost all high end dealers have techs that work their regularly.

With the better pic, that one probably is not going to come out, way to stretched.
