Post motor mounts

how can i check to see if my motor mounts have worn out? where exactly are they located. Also, can i do a visual inspection of the timing belt to see if it needs to be replaced, or do i have to take things apart to get to it?

Check this Tech-Session article on Motor Mounts... should answer all of your questions:

944 Motor Mount Replacement

The only visible portion of the timing belt is through an inspection hole in the timing cap cover. This is only there to see if the belt is still there. You'll have to remove the 2 front plastic covers to get a good look in there. Not hard though.

Good Luck!
