Question Koni Sport Yellow question

What is the difference between the Koni Sp yellow's that are for a '83-85 and the '85.5-89. My main concern is can I buy some for my '82 and someday if I get a 85.5-on can I put them onto the newer car?
Thanks

Michael, 83-86 NA cars had rebuildable struts that would use Koni insert 8641-1038 Sport. The 87 on NA cars and all Turbo's featured sealed struts that will use Koni's new 8641-1414 Sport insert that is made specifically for use in the stock Sachs/Boge or Koni sealed strut. So as long as you stick with a 83-86 NA car, your 8641-1038 Sport inserts will work.Paragon Productsnull
