I might try to swap a transaxle with a limited slip diff from an '83 944 into my '87 924S. If I do this, I would like to put the short fifth gear from my tranny into the 944 tranny. (It is my understanding that the '83 944 has a 0.730 ratio and my 924S has a 0.829 ratio.)

Can anyone direct me to information on how to change the fifth gear in one of these transaxles?
