sorry for the longish post earlier, but I really find it hard to believe that I was the first person to ever dissasemble the ball joint on an alluminum arm? with that note I have an alluminum arm with a bad ball joint Just need that plastic part and it is Aok... If anybody has an idea where to get these parts I am in the market...LOL. would make for a cheap spare...

You can put early steel a-arms on your car if you want. You can not put them on an 87 or later car.

Tabor we are not talking about switching the arms just the ball assy ie take the ball out of the early joint and put it into a later arm to see if it will work
