Thumbs down You know all those projects that get put off.....?!

.....and get forgotten about till its too late

Fortunately.......I carry a fire extinguisher and caught it fast. Only parts that look like they need replaced were ones that needed updated or upgraded anyway!

My first 951 was lost to a fire, in the years that have followed I have been a lot better about checking and replacing the fuel lines. Sorry your car got a bit scorched, but it looks like it could have been a lot worse.

That was the first thing I replaced. I was eyeing the fuel line supply kit next. Sorry yours blew.

I had been putting off that jumper line for over a year. I finally replaced it the other night after having the line sit in my apartment for months. The sheathing crumbled off as I pulled it out. Sure glad I got it changed in time and I'm glad you had an extinguisher to control it!

Old Fuel lines cannot be put off. That was the first thing I did on my 928 and it was done recently by the PO on my 951. That should be project number one! Thank you for sharing.

At this point, I consider that jumper line to be a maintenance item that I will replace every 5 or so years. I'm sure that is overkill but I consider it cheap insurance.

So, I've done a little looking around for fuel lines and the hoses I need to replace.

Lindsey Racing looks insanely expensive for these parts compared to some of the other sources.

Can anybody comment to the Rennbay or even Ebay set ups?

Pelican doesn't seem to have them.

Or is therenamgood DIY somewhere here on the parts specs so I could just go build my own lines down at the local race shop?

I have the Rennbay's. The lines are real nice, plus Travis is a good guy to deal with.

The local 928 guys use:

"I have always used Pirtek located at about 90th and Broadway."

"I blew my clutch hose in March 2002 and I used Emrick & Hill, Inc. They brazed the old fittings to create an adapter for $30 labor and supplied a standard, replaceable hose for another $16. Their # is 303/433-7237 and the address is 4160 Fox Street in Denver, 80216."

My 83's fuel line setup seems different than all the other years- it doesn't have a dangerous jumper line?
