Cool What an awesome day to drive!!

Brought my toy to work today and just went out for a quick spin at lunch. It must be close to 50 deg. and sunny out. I just keep on reminding myself what a beautiful car my Porsche is. I must have turned at least a dozen heads on the way to the local Wendy's and it still has it's original - worn/tarnished 15" phonedials on it.

Like I said.......what an awesome day........!

lol, i dont know if i want to admit this but on my first drive after the tranny was rebuilt, I looked at my tires and realized they are the worn tarnished tires that came with the car, And sadly the 924 has the spoke style wheels.

Well it was about 75 degrees and sunny here and needless to say I took advantage, even though I drive my car year around. <img src="graemlins/bigok.gif" border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" />

Hehe, all last week was so sunny and dry that I only had to wash my car once (yellow gets very dirty, so I wash religiously)!! I even took the opportunity to take off the roof and pick up my girl after school (she is still in highschool and no, I'm not 40, I'm 18), All the kids were like "oooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhh, (drool), a shiny yellow Porsche". I've gotten so many darn compliments and overcome so many probs that I have completely forgotten that I was seriously thiking of selling the car and getting a corrado vr6. I dont like complimenting my own car though as it always screws up after, so keep it hush hush, lest she hear that I said something good about her... Oh yeah, and since its still winter, the clear skies have made for some extremely crispy nights, just what the n/a engine doctor ordered . And in case youre wondering, I DID go over 100 mph more than once last week and yes, it cleared up again today.

Eat you heart out Luke (muhahaha)

Ah, your all wooses.
I drive my 968 all year round up here in the great white north. I will not drive it in the snow, but negative temperatures are not a problem for a Porsche. If the car was not meant for cold temperatures, then why did the factory give me heated seats and heated side mirrors? Drive and have fun.

BTW - So much for the nice weather. I'm in Tax..I mean Massachusetts and the forecast is for just plain old wet and cold for the rest of the week and into the weekend. I guess that gives me a week for some quick fixes I've been meaning to do.

Monday was a great day for a drive in southern PA. We have some great back-roads down here, with very few other cars and cops. It was getting late and i had to get back home, so i took the highway. Now i just crusing in the right lane doing about 65 or so, when some ricer, with all show and go, drives beside and floors it to make that tin can of his get loud. So I press down on the gas and catch up with him in no time, and pass him, When i hit about 110 mph, i hear a wshhhhh sound and i look up to see blue sky. Heart is in my mouth, the sunroof had gotten sucked up. I slow right down and pull over, luckly the front clips kept the roof from completly flying off. i always knew the sunroof gears were stripped, but never that bad. so today on this nice sunny day i will be putting in new gears.
