Cone Filter Mounting
I've acquired a 944 Cone Filter and mounting bracket for a non-turbo. I'd like to mount to a 1986 Turbo.
Anybody try that before? Suggestions?
Also, does the change from Airbox to cone necessitate and other changes (mixture, etc)? I'm not ready for Chip changes or anything too radical.
I am using a Lindsey Boost ENhancer, but otherwise stock.
Thanks!

FYI, I received the K&N cone clone from 9xauto.com and it fits my 1986 pretty well. THe filter cone comes with a cast aluminum mounting bracket with four holes. 2 of the four fit. Its tight enought to make a good seal. The cone fits snugly behind the latch and seems to appropriate clearance elsewhere.
Since it only costs $65. I'm happy.
When you've installed a cone, what did you do with the "breather hose pipe" coming off the engine? Plug it? vent to street?
