Where can I find a 1/43 Porsche 944/951?
I collect 1/43 scale Porsches but have not found a 944 of any kind... any ideas?
I have tried:

These things used to be everywhere, once production of the real thing ended so did production of the miniatures. I'd like to find one myself, so if anyone finds a source...

DangerIsland, let me know.
Exotic HorsePower, do not know. But Hot Wheels quality/details in small scales is not that great... They do have some nice 1:18...

I've got a Matchbox (1/57th) 944 Turbo; opening doors, reasonably accurate chassis detail & interior, in screaming metallic green, copyright 1987. Inside the door in tiny letters, partially obscured by paint, it appears to say "MB 191".
Hasegawa definitely made a 1/24th 968 DIY plastic model kit; I've got three of 'em (will get around to building them _someday_).
Looking at the parts trees, it's obvious that they either derived this kit from an earlier 944T kit, or planned to derive the 944T kit from the 968 (the engine tree has the 8V cam cover & turbo intake, with the 968 head, intake, wheels, etc. on a different tree, one tree has the turbo air cleaner box & turbo, another has the 944 pop-up headlight doors, etc.)
If it helps find the 944 kit, Hasegawa's 968 kit number is CA-9; I bought it from a web outlet (long since forgotten), but it actually shipped from Tower Hobbies (in Chicago???).

Its funny you are posting this question,I work with some Hot Wheels collectors and they said it is very hard to find 944s.I had asked 2 guys that I work with to keep an eye out for a 944,but no luck.I went to the 24 hours of Daytona and as I shopped the vendors I came across a small scale(1/43?)white 944!I could not believe it,because my 1987-944S is white, any way I asked the guy how much he wanted and he said $1.00,so I am now the proud owner of the $1.00 Porsche!Keep looking they must be out there.

hotwheels and matchbox made a lot of different kinds of 944 models as it seems.. some even with rubber tires.. you can usually find them on ebay for under 10 dollars, sometimes unopened, but they are not 1/24 or 1/25 scale, they are matchbox/hothweels standard size (which is 1/56-57 right?) so thats that
testors, hasegwa, italeri, and whoever else did make 944,944S,944T plastic 1/24 scale model kits. i have both the 944S and 944T unbuild that i bought off ebay. one day i might just put them together.. but.. who knows
in terms of die cast metal models of 944s that are larger than a hotwheels car.. good luck. you can sometimes find 1/24-25 die cast 944/944T models on ebay but they usually cost a lot. Majorette made some i think. In any case, good luck findin them, best place is ebay. Oh and.. no, no 1:18 scale 944 ever made, or 928 or 968.. but trust me, if there was i would own like 20 of them
by the way, just lookin' at ebay and theres a nice 1/25 scale Turbo die cast for sale: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1705296110 gray or black http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1704462578

Automobile Atlanta - www.autoatlanta.com - lists 944 models on their website, but when I contacted them they said they're currently out of stock.
They previously had a special order made up, and they said if they get enough requests they will order another production run. Recommend you contact them and add your name(s) to the list so we can get another batch produced!

Just looked on eBay, and there's a Hasegawa 1/24th-scale model, a Testors 1/24th, and a resin 1/43rd. The Testors (or Revell? can't remember) looked pretty dopey, but I bet the Hasagawa is good.

I never ended up getting my hands on a 944. My current die cast Porsches are :
Guards red 959 (with cup wheels, yeah, I mod my models) and custom black interior (was grey) in 1:24 scale
White 911 GT1 street (original, not evo or 98) in 1:18 scale
Silver 959 (cant remember scale, its about the size of a comp. mouse)
Guards red 911 speedster (late 80s, same size as silver 959, I painted it red when I was 10 with my dad's guards red touch up paint!)
Blue 996 turbo 1:18 scale
911 GT1 '98 in Champion racing livery (hotwheels, even has correct bbs wheels)
Green (with ugly decals) late 70s 928 with hideously oversized rear phone dials (hotwheels)
Plastic ones:
2 Red 928s micromachines.
Gold 1:24 911 sc targa with whale tail and chrome fuchs
Silver 1:24 late 70s 934? I think the 934 was made in 76 or 77 right??
Past Porsches:
Porsche supercup 993 1:24(It had the cup wheels that I transplanted to the 959. The 959 had smallish ugly wheels, remember the kind with the turbine fins on the rim for brake cooling a la 935? They looked hideous on the poor yellow 993 whose racing decals I had removed so I shot a hole through the windsheild with my pelet rifle during a fit of rage. I then proceded to salvage some parts aka steering wheel etc for the 959, but I decided I didnt want to do anything more to it. I then threw it off my balcony. Stupid stupid..)
Cant remembver the scale, it was smaller than 1:24, it was a plastic 935 that I couldnt assemble correclty cause the pieces were made out of ****, so I put rubbing alcohol on it and rolled its flaming *** down the front stair's railing (I was 12).
Yet another 935, this one was a 1:18 remote control car which was too fast for me (8 yrs old) and I ended up totaling it.
I have also totaled a really nice bimmer m3 1:24 die cast and a black lamborghini countach 1:24 die cast. I had doubles of the lambo and I used the m3s rims. So yeah, I was young ok??
