Sorry, not a 944 but thought it worth posting. Sounds like they get this motor over 9000rpm!!

It was that quick! Hillclimbs are really big in Europe and they get these cars going really fast. Hillclimbs are great fun if you haven't done them, but they're also pretty risky as you could see in the video. Very little runoff in most places. They usually don't go through towns with footpaths though. That one was a little extra special!

Pikes peak is butthole puckering intense. I shuttle to the top so i can ride my mountain bike back down the Barr trail and well... I'm too much of a girl to rage up there in the 944. Sooooo many 1000ft drop offs if you screw up

As my thread title suggests it's a 2.5L 16v motor. You can also see this when you open the link. I'm guessing the c/r would be very high.

Yeah but I'm asking what 2.5L engine is it? An Opel engine based off of the 2.0L block?
Dumb question that probably nobody can answer.
But it would be cool if it was a Porsche engine.

Yes, would be very cool. The only Porsche motor that I can imagine remotely resembling this one would be Henk's 3.2L n/a Monster. I doubt very much if that one even spins out more than 8k though. I'm sure you could find out a little bit more on the Opel one. Wonder how many hours they get out of those motors?

Check out other videos on that site. Some amazing stuff. Super fast with basically no run off. Those guys are good drivers and very ballsy!
