18" 3-piece forged Phonedials to be produced
#16
Three Wheelin'
This might be a little OT, but I've seen larger diameter 3 piece phonedials on some other makes outside of the US and have wanted a set ever since.
I don't think they were ever made in our bolt pattern though. It's probably for the best since I have too many sets of wheels as it is for a car I don't drive.

Very nice. I would prefer them in 17", but understand sizes may be limited and would be interested to know more.
Weight, price, etc.

19"s...
I like all sizes and for different reasons. Historically the Cup phonies look great with a higher profile tyre but on the opposite side of the spectrum as a design proportion I think the larger wheel fits the overall symmetry more effectively.

Thanks for all your interest!
It's a very exciting project, and I plan for it to be my first product release for my business, 928 Classics.
You can get any color you want, as long as it's black. - Henry Ford
Options are wide open. May supply in standard silver and unfinished (to allow for you to custom paint).
Biggest concern w/ 17s in a 3-piece BIG brake clearance. I may approach a 17" design eventually, it's just not the priority release.
I have a nice local RL'r who will be helping me with 944 fitup. Will take pics.
I've been very conscious about controlling weight throughout the process.
Current weights are a touch under 26.5# front, and 28# rear.
I'm pleased with this considering it's a "closed spoke" full wheel design, as opposed to an "open spoke" (ie. traditional 5-spoke).
Comparable wheels of similar size:
18" 993 Turbo Hollow-spoke - 22# front, 23# rear
18" 996 Turbo Replica - 28# front, 29# rear
For relative comparison, if I were to just "scale up" the original design 16"phone dial to 18", it would weight over 30# !
So, I'm in the ballpark but not breaking any records.
Thanks man!
Price will be very similar to a market comparable set of 3-piece forged 18's, ala Fikse, Kinesis, etc.

First release will be 3 different widths, 9", 10", & 11". Offsets will be tuned to work with both the 928 and 944/51/68 but may require spacers to fit all applications.
