Over Christmas I got to do a little more. These pictures show how I was able to lower the cage into the holes in the sill plate so I could weld the tops of the joints.

Thanks Will. I did a little more this evening. I got the rear brace sized and tacked in place. I also cut the dash/knee bar to length.

Van are you going to tie into the A and B pillers? I have some dimple dies if you need to borrow them.

Van,

Did you measure the linear feet or weigh the bars - how much is the complete cage going to weigh?

Cage This made some nice connector plates for the A pillars. I wasn't going to connect the B pillars (the main hoop is physically touching both sides of the car...), but maybe I should do somthing.

I didn't weigh the pipes... I should have. I'll try to get an accurate measurement of the linear feet for you.

I didn't know if that was the angle of the photo or if it was touching. In off roading, the tie ins make a big addition in stiffness. I have not tested w/road racing as of yet.

Made some more progress today.

I ran out of welding wire (and almost ran out of shielding gas), but I did manage to get all of the door bars fit/trimmed and tacked in place to see how it would look.

I've taken them back out, because I want easy access to work on the foot-well bars and wiring.

Anyhow, enjoy the pictures!

Wow Van, that's a great deal- $1100 for a cage that fits that nice!? Does it really fit as nicely and as easily as it looks?
