Recognize this car anyone? Look kind of familiar?
If you had your 944 back somewhere around 2003-2006, you probably had a Cardomain.com account, or knew what it was anyway. It was like the ultimate thing to do when you were bored and looking for a little inspiration for your car.
This car held like the number 1 spot for all the 944's for the longest time. It was like the king of the 944 people. I remember back then, seeing this car and marveling after the profound looks of it and just wishing that someday I could have something as slick as this. Well now is that opportunity! I don't have the money/space/time to buy it right now. But somebody should strike a deal and do something cool with it.
Looks like a good deal either way for an 89 2.7... Especially if you have a 5-speed sway sitting around (like I do) and had the time to swap it over (like I don't)...
Here is how the car used to look back in the day. Wish I could find the old cardomain page for it (if it still exists).
Enjoy.

Oh wow
I remember checking out that 944 way back in highschool when I first learned about these cars and wanted one. I didn't even know it was in my state, or maybe I did but forgot.
I wonder if it still has those ebay halos...

This always puzzles me. If you've spent $$$'s and time fixing "All new belts, timing belt, air filter, oil change, tires, brake pads and rotors" why wouldn't you spend pennies and 1/2hr swapping the cog on your odometer?
..."Approximately 140,000 miles (odometer stopped turning at 136000)"...yeh right, probably over 200,000!

I think a lot of people overestimate the cost of repairing the odometer, and time.
But I really don't know.
Yes! I knew someone out there didn't think I was crazy.
When I was in high school I thought this car was like the holy grail of 944's!

Possibly, but being that it's an automatic, I would be highly inclined to just swap it to a 5-speed anyway. Get rid of all that garbage.
Maybe the problem with his transaxle is that it's just simply an automatic. That is, in fact, a very big problem
No offense to my auto-944 homies out there
On a side note - can anyone help find this guys old Cardomain page, if it's still out there? I searched but had no luck. Would be cool to look over it again.
