Water leak in 944
Anyone help me out here.
I've got an 86 944 Lux that leaks when it rains. UK winters!
Always goes into the rear nearside footwell.
Checked sunroof downpipes.
Sometimes the offside rear footwell is wet, mostly nearside though.
Anyone got any ideas wher this could be coming from?

Check the top leading edge of the hatch, where the black frame meets the glass.
UK cars have the battery in the back, correct? This would eliminate the rusted out battery tray, causing leaks in the front right footwell.
Check the hatch. Spray water on that area see if it drips down.
While you're there go and clean out the hatch drains in the rubber spoiler (rectangular holes on left and right) with a popsicle stick / tongue depressor. Note that this is completely unrelated to your problem. (Unless of course, someone has cleverly hooked up the hatch drains to dump right into the footwell, which is highly unlikely
)
Or, just try to narrow down where it's coming from by spraying water on roof, hatch, etc.

I have the TSB for possible water entry points. A few odd places it lists are: spot weld at door hinge pillar to wheel house, triangle intersection of the windshield frame-water drain tray-wheel house, front sunroof drain tubes can be punctured by the trim panel mounting screws, corner area of water drain tray & front engine wall, central electric board mounting plate, spot weld points for the foot pedal support, spot welds for battery mounting bracket. Another one I had was the gas cap area drain grommet & drain hoses.
