I noticed my passenger side side light wasn't working replaced the bulb nothing. Then noticed fuse was blown so replaced it turnt the lights on and fuse blew straight away.

Iv found the earth/ground wire in the rear boot of the car. But cannot find the one up front I'm assuming that's the issue I have.

Did you replace bulb with the same size?

 

Lol yep same bulb but new bulb.

 

Had a similar issue with my brake lights...turned out I had a short to the metal plate that the bulbs mount on in the back with one of the wires. As old as the wires and insulation are, check for broken insulation where maybe a wire is rubbing against the chassis or another metal part...

 

Man ol man I had that issue a few years ago and trying to think how I resolved it.
Make sure no additional metal is touching the light bulbs. I think I may have used some sandpaper to clean the bulb insert contacts.

 

Yea Iv cleaned all rear contact just need to do front ones. Is there a main ground wire if so where would I find it
