Default Blown 944 Chumpcar Engine Dissassembly Video

I posted before about blowing our engine at Road America, here's a couple video clips of us taking it apart....

It looks like two of the nuts on the oil galley truss came loose, and it probably wasn't drawing enough oil, which made it throw the #4 rod (and ALMOST #3 as well...)

(NSFW mild language)

It made some nice metallic gravel of the piston, cylinder walls, and con rod...

But at least it looked good on track while it lasted...

Did they give you any laps pre-race?

Do you mean practice laps or penalty laps?

We had no practice laps (because of a charity track day on the Friday before race day)....

We DID manage to go through tech with zero penalty laps though

Chump car has the Porsche 944 on their "$500" list, meaning if you show up for a race with ANY 944 (NON TURBO) bone stock with the safety gear added you can go racing with no penalty. Yes, as I understand it, a 1991 Porsche 944 S2 with a roll cage would be a great choice. All of the MO30 stuff is stock, right? Adjustable konis, etc? Yep! I race Chump in a Corrado but a 944 will be the next step.
