Default FS: Pelican Aluminum "super" trans mounts *PRICE DROP*

I've got a pair of the pelican billet aluminum super tranny mounts that i would like to get rid of. I purchased them for my 924S and had them on the car for 7 months before it got rear ended. They are in great shape!

These are the early style mount and as such i can't use them in my 944S without welding in the crossmember from the 924. I'm not going to mess with it. They will work on 83 to 85 944's and 86-88 924S's

They sell for $224 at pelican right now and I would like to get $140 shipped for my set. Thanks!

You know you want them thirdgen its one of the few things not on your list, and they are awesome. The car launches really well with them.

I'm selling them so i can get the late version for my new car, i've got the tranny out and the mount is shot.

If I wasn't seriously considering a new road bike frame I would be on this.

How did the trans noise/vibration change with these?

The major difference was the gear whine transmitted to the passenger compartment was more apparent. That said the gearbox in the 924 was just pretty noisy anyways. I didn't feel like vibration was an issue, i did a few 300 mile day trips into the colorado mountains with them and it didn't add to my fatigue level. Being stuck in gridlocked traffic was less frustrating as the driveline wouldn't overreact when crawling at 1,000rpm in first on I-70. With the stock mounts the transition from accel to decel was sloppy, and in that particular situation it was even worse. With these mounts that transition was smooth and didn't make me feel like i was abusing the car.

The only complaint i can really make is that the extra holding power on the transaxle tended to make the CV bolts back out on the outer CV on one side (cant remember which at the moment). I solved that by running Ideola's Stage 8 locking CV bolts.

Ah crap sorry i got a solid offer from another user with a lot more history here.. Sorry about that, you should have mentioned the 944hybrids bit in your first post so i could investigate your history. 2 posts here is not much to go on

They are sold.
