My fan switch I believe is keeping my fans on too long and killing the battery, which happened today.
I tried to jump using a jumper pack but it didn't have enough power.
I kept trying to turn it over and after a bunch of times when i turned the key no lights or crank or anything, like something broke (or what i thought at the time was there was absolutely no juice in the battery or jumper pack).
So i got another car to jump my car with, but it did the same thing, no crank and no lights on the dash or any reaction when i turned the key.
the other thing that was weird is that I head the starter turn over a very little bit every 10-20 seconds without the key even in the ignition, all by itself.
I left my car with a note. I have another 944 project I am working on, so I can take any fuse/relay/part you think it may be and give it a try.
I looked in the manual but didn't find anything like this.
Could it be a relay or fuse i blew, i tried to look at the fuses but didnt know which ones would be affected by this? Any info is greatly appreciated.
its an 87 944 n/a
Thanks!

I'm guessing you have a bad ground or an internal short on your starter/ solenoid. Clean terminals at battery and starter and check the starter cable resistance, could be a bad cable. Had similar problems with one of my 'semis'.

Battery cables are bad (or the terminals), or broken off at the starter. I've had customers that have had their 944s lurch forward randomly into garage walls when left in gear and the starter cable shorts and activates the starter.
