As requested, some pics of the condenser mounted on the original car, a 1987 944S. Bad pictures but you can see it there.

Spencer,

Can you do this for a 968? I have my condenser out while I am doing engine work. Just had the hoses rebuilt at a very good local hose shop, but that seems like an easy fix.

Thanks,

Steve

Yes, the condenser is the same for a 968 as a late 944, so it would look like the one in the original post.

A better picture of the condenser installed on the car...you can see how the hose ends must be changed.

That might be nice to have. One thing to consider is that the original brackets have to be set back maybe 10mm from the condenser flange to mount to the car properly...

Rocket...I guess what I'm really saying is a stand-alone product would be better than a exchange program. And that is just a little step further than what you're talking about. Think bigger. Get new fittings from whereever, post a "need brackets" on the fab forums; (theres probably a hobbiest within a mile of you). If you have a viable niche product, it will sell. When its slow, work on the next one....Bruce

And then put together some instructions on installation and draining/filling the system and you're there.

For anyone else potentially interested in one of these condensers, I am gathering parts to do 3 at once so building one for you would be easy for me...PM me.
