Default 944 Wont Start

Proud noob of a 84 944 5 speed "ran when parked car"

Battery hooked up, lights on dash no fuel pump prime, no crank nothing. Just dash lights and click under the dash when i engage to the crank position.

Nothing not a single noise under the hood. At all.

ECM is out, fuses are good and I'm ready to start checking things.

A. Could be the ignition switch is cracked under the key:
http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/...9%2C%20Each%20
B. Have you tried a 2nd battery and not the one that came with the car?
C. Clean the negative ground cable end attached to the back of the engine. Put a rag/tape over the TDC hole in the bell housing or I am certain you will drop a nut in the clutch.
D. Try to crank--IF the starter is working-----stare at the tach on the dash while you crank---the needle has to move 1/16th of an inch while you crank.
E. If the needle does not move----Either replace the DME/Fuel pump relay or use a jumper:
http://www.clarks-garage.com/shop-manual/fuel-05.htm
F. If it cranks, and the tach needle moves while grinding but no start--check fuel pressure.
www.Clarks-Garage.com has all the answers and trouble shooting needed.

OR here is a "No-Start" checklist:

There is seldom an easy fix to a "ran when parked" car.
Starting the car without checking the condition of the belts may cause the interference engine to bend valves.

GL & welcome,
John

Clean the ground on your starter. You could also have a seized starter solenoid (replace the starter then).
