Default Just purchased a 951!!

I recently purchased a 1987 944 Turbo! I have been considering one for many years, and now I have finally bought one. It is silver (not sure the offiical name) with a black interior. It is completely stock, even has the original cassette, with the exception of the plastic Porsche logo on the rear. It is a pretty sold car that just needs a few things. Not a show car, but a nice driver. It was local to me, and I really like 944s in silver, so the deal was done. I am geeked.

I have spent some time here on rennlist when I had my other Porsches (this is my fourth). I used to own a '83 928S, '71 911 and a '73.5 911.

Not the best picture, but I had to post something.

Looks great, congrats!

And you passed the first test of Rennlist membership, you posted a pic with your post. Of course we need more than one...

Enjoy.

Within the last 20k miles; new timing belt, clutch, tires and brakes. I plan to improve it, but nothing radical. I probably will keep it mostly stock, but who knows? A fresh wax will be in order for this weekend.

Very nice. I did the 911 thing as well before, I honestly prefer driving 944/951s much more.

Both platforms have great points, that much is for sure.

Yours looks clean. What is the little thingie on the hatch glass top/front?

the thing on the rear glass is for an ancient cell phone and the plastic piece between the taillights that reads Porsche (not the Turbo logo) is the non oem part. I am sure that there is a name for it. I still have not decided if I like it or not.
