Your electrical problems may be a bad ground connection. Very common that when electric issues start to show up in groups, it's a ground. Look on Clarks Garage for a map of the location of the grounds and start cleaning the connections up. Could also be a two problems: replace the fuel level sending unit and the Tach may have a faulty connection or a sticking needle movement. Not hard to replace them.

Welcome and congratulations. Clarks-garage.com and this forum (and the occassional independent Porsche mechanic you can trust locally) are all you need. Stay on top of what needs to be maintained to keep it mechanically sound, and don't sweat the small stuff (re: cosmetics) while you're in school. Save what money you can to afford some upkeep here and there, and don't be afraid to get your hands filthy and spending a weekend wrenching on it at times. You'll save thousands and still be driving a cooler car than your buddies years from now. Keep that pretty red paint waxed (especially if it parks outside)!

There is the Southern Arizona Region PCA. Great track and DE program, and other stuff. I let my membership lapse, but WILL be getting off my butt and rejoining and doing track days ASAP.
There are several Tucson guys here and on the other forum. I'd love a get-together. I live right by the UofA.

Are the grounds hard to get to? that's something ill need to look at if my odo craps out on me again. I managed to "fix" it by just reconnecting the wires behind it and everything works as it should minus the fuel guage.
