im about to fit a 968 engine in my 1982 944, and it would be a shame not to powder coat colour code a few bits. certainly the cam cover, engine cover and intake manifold.
im trying to decide on a colour scheme, so if anyone has a photo of theirs i'd be grateful.
as it stands im leaning towards a combo of battleship grey and matt black with perhaps a polished intake and throttle body.

suggestions ?

It will depend on your car color & (engine bay color) here are a few examples.#1 polar silver car #2 (real fancy purple) in a white car #3 Red spark plugs shroud #4&5 My own 968 Amazone Pearl Green I went with (Dupli Color Metal Cast paint )& kept it simple (fan shroud & rad cap) the rest of the engine is as it came from the factory.If you like raise letters on your fan shroud (see last pic)you can get them from Nicole at www.HookedOnCars.com

plenty of inspiration there guys. that photo with the polished intake and engine cover looks amazing. married up to a matt black cam cover could be a strong contender. ,maybe spray the expansion tank cap matt black as well to contrast with the off white exp. tank.
is there any preference between powder coating and painting??
