Some idiot will buy that not knowing cars and bring it to a mechanic and the mechanic is gunna be like dude you need 25k to bring this back to life

It's on jackstands (or more likely cinder blocks) and they just leaned the wheels upright on it for the pictures...


Probably found it in a field and think, "Porsche! We hit it big! $2500 easy even if it isn't running!"

If he considers those rims to be in "great" condition, no wonder he expects 2500.

At least in the four wheeled world. A v4 is fairly easy to find on two wheels

I remember being at the Minneapolis auto show when the solstice came out. The guy speaking and answering questions made all sorts of mistakes. One of them was insisting that it had a v4. A small group of people were getting very upset and I stepped in and answered questions (I had just read a few articles and knew the car well) in the end both sides thanked me.

Those appear to be late offset phonies?! What a turd.

PS SAABs used German Ford V4's until about '75, not sure how long Ford made them after that... but I share your pain
