It's been a busy few weeks but not a great deal to show yet. I've bought the front seats, mounts, harnesses and a new steering wheel and boss.

The cars still in the garage trying to have all the big jobs done in one go, the water pump, belts and all the pulleys are being done it was noted that the crankshaft seal was leaking so that's been replaced at the same time.

I've had the back box replaced as it was started to blow and lots of other little jobs.

I think before I fit any of the new parts to the car, I'm going to get the paintwork finished and get the interior repainted (including the harness frame I'm having made) along with the engine bay so she will look pretty good then.

While the paintworks being done I'm going to take out all the side windows and have a go at making some lexan/lightweight windows to help with the track car look!

Hopefully she'll be done before the end of the year, maybe!

Just realised the problems I was having with my pictures being deleted was the fact I was limited to a samll amount due to not being a full member.
I've just rectified that so here are a few pictures of the car and of the work it has had done to it1

you need to:

1. lower it
2. put some decent spacers on it(the rear hips look empty and pointless if the wheels are so far away from the lip)
3. get some manual mirrors (black) or 968 mirrors(black)
4. get the 951/S2 under spoiler/sills (black plastic parts)
5. get the 968 rear wing (black)
6. get the S2 rear under valance(green)
7. get the front brakes cooler parts that go in place of the fog lights.(also black)
8. stop taking pictures of it when it rains !!

Some good points raised!

I'm not going to lower it as I have some 17" Fuch's to fit up soon and want to see how it looks/drive with them fitted before I do anything else.

I am looking at 968/cup mirrors but they're so expensive they may have to wait a while, they're not a priority!

Some of the other trim/lips/spoilers are being considered but I want to see what it looks like with the wheels on as I'm not sure whether to leave them black or get them colour coded.

You're right about the fog light housings. I'm still not 100% sure on what to do there. I still have the lights and I was considering getting new backs and re-fitting the fog lights but the idea of the brake coolers is appealing. Are they a good quality and a decent fit?

Finally, it's the UK, it's always raining!

17" fuchs? you mean 16? anyway...you'll still have to lower it...this color demands a low and light car.
Consider the 924 / 924 GTS manual mirrors (like i have on my car)

You cant paint the lower body trim as it will always be chipped by stones, except the rear difuser, which you can paint.

I'm also looking for airducts instead of the fog lights...i havent found anything yet. Let me know if you find any good looking ones.

I've gone out and bought some OMP ones now as I was having problems locating Takata seatbelts in the UK. Do they come with the girls as standard? If so, I'll certainly pick up a pair for the other project I've got on at the moment!

Been snowed under with work these last few weeks and I've struggled to get any time on the car (I'm also working on a '77 924 Auto, a '77 924 Martini and building a Carrera GT replica!) but I have managed to fit the seats but not the harness bar which, if life's good to me, I will sort out on Friday and then the interior will start taking shape. Once the harness bar is in place and I've fitted everything up to make sure it's all in the right place, the cars going back to have the interior painted.

Just taken the interior out of the 944 today so the back can be painted up. It mixture of good and bad news, there must be a hell of a leak from the sunroof (it's been raining for weeks here) as the rear seats/carpets etc were soaking and I only cleaned the drainage holes out a couple of weeks ago so, it must be not seating correctly.

Also, there are no front seatbelt mounts on the transmission tunnel (I thought it was going to be the same as the 924. That was how I was going to mount the lower section of the harnesses, not quite sure how I'm going to do that now, maybe the rear seat belts mounts can be used if the harnesses are long enough?!

However, on a positive note, the locating mounts for the rear seats will make a brilliant mounting point for the harness bar with a couple of uprights for extra strength.

Finally, after becoming known as Kermit, I thought FROGGER seemed appropriate!

Got my harness bar made up today and I'm really pleased with it, it looks very professional. I especially pleased with my 'scalloping' of the joint.

Sorry the pictures are fuzzy, I must have had the shakes!

.........and forgot to add the pictures!

After fitting the bar up this morning, it was delivered to the painter this afternoon to have the interior completely re-painted in the same signal green.
