The green looks great, and the interior you posted might just be the inspiration for my own project.

OK, I need a bit of advice. My car is going to have a major service this week. It's having all the belts, pulleys/tensioners and water pump changed plus any gaskets/seals that are looking tired will be changed, mainly due to the fact the car came with no service history so I want to be 'safe'.

My main query is regarding the cam chain as there seems to be different opinions on it. Some say change it, some say it doesn't need it if the tensioners are ok and some say just change the tensioners, does anybody know what the 'official' stance on it is?

Also, I'm aware that there is a part number on the tensioner pads, does anybody have it?

I may have also have decided on some seats for her, I'll update shortly!

Do you have a picture of your harnesses? I've never heard of them so I'm wondering whether they go by another name here or are not available here?

Well the car's now in the garage having the engine serviced and I'm just plodding on trying to sort out some of the other jobs that will need doing.

I've bought the seats, although I love the look of the pure racing seats, I know that as a daily driver they are not always the most comfortable so I've gone for these OMP seats that look sporty but my *** won't get stuck in them or go numb after an hour or so!

I'm going to make up a cage for the rear and then attach the harnesses to the cage but that's a while off so I'll have to make do with the standard belts until then.

I'm wanting to make some lightweight door trims for the car. Has anybody done this and do they have any pictures?

It's a slow process but, I'm sure I'll get there!

Takata is a very famous, very Japanese brand. All of their harnesses are "Takata Green". http://www.takata.com/products/fullharness.html

I have Recaro Pole Position seats in a 928 and they are very comfortable. A 2 hour drive is no problem with these.
They were one of the first seats to be FIA approved wtihout a back brace, which is why I went with them.

I assume you mean the car, not the seats so I've attached a few pictures!

More pics please!

I have completely fallen in love with this color because of your posts. In fact, you are my new laptop wallpaper. My Alpine white may someday become this color.

What happened to the original pics?

Takata is correct. They are a very close green color to Signal Green.

Here's the best picture I have of them. I've since then installed black door panels and everything else in the interior is black, so it helps make the green stand out even more!

Not sure what happened to the original pics but, I'm not the brightest when it comes to I.T!

All the photos of the resto/paintwork are on my photobucket account and my user name is mikegamble1 so feel free to have a look. As the work progresses, I always add the pictures there.

Really like the belts and I've found a couple of places that stock them here in the UK but, they are very expensive in comparison to other brands. I don't know if they are expensive everywhere or whether we're just being ripped off as ever in the UK!
