Yep my '86 na finally let me down guys. It keeps shutting off like I have no throttle. After waiting a minute it fires right back up makes it say another mile then shuts off again. Engine runs but no throttle. Have swapped out ignition relay x with spare same story.
Any advice welcome guys.

I would also loosen the fuel fill cap, just in-case there is a vacuum in the tank making it harder for the fuel pump (I've seen this happen before, though not on a 944/951).
Another possibility is the ignition coil is overheating.

I don't think it could be a bad fuel pump I hear it run when I jump the leads. Replaced fuel filter when I put her on the road. That was 14 months ago but I don't think it could be f@&$ that quick.
No doubt I've been in worse places dude. Hey I have a Heineken and listen to Shawn Hanity on my phone. This too shall pass.
Any other ideas guys?

Keep the jumper in, then drive it - when it dies, see if you still hear the fuel-pump.

FPR. is my guess. I was able to get the car home after it began to fail, but after that, it would only start and run for a few seconds and die. Touching the gas made it die to....easy to check..
