Default ebay short shifter lever?

I was looking for a new shifter lever since mine is lose and I ran across a lindsey racing style short shifter. Has anyone tried a short shifter from this seller? Is there any major downfalls to getting this style of shifter? I was looking at this as an alternative to buying some NOS short shifter. Any thoughts?

Looks cool and the 924/944 world is new to me. I personally find it entertaining when someone says something like "It's endorsed by many 944 racers" in their ebay ad

I bought that lever - it's quite good! I would say it's in almost all respects identical to the original version of the Lindsey short shift lever (they've added the adjustable stem on it now, I believe).

I don't know of many downfalls, but there are a LOT of benefits. Shorter throw and MUCH more solid, and crisp shifts. I love it, I'd never go back to stock.

Haven't tried the others, but I'm pretty sure this is the cheapest option... hence why I got it And it works so well, I don't see any reason to look for anything else.

I have one in the race car and it's great. I had to shorten the length of the lower pin, otherwise it interfered with the shift rod. Well worth the $100.

This racer endorses the product No affiliation of course.

I've also had one since 2008 in my track use 951. Is been awesome! Much better than stock.

I did not trim mine down so here it is in the car hiding under the boot.

Where did you guys find the boots to fit it onto a 944? Do you know of the cheapest place I can find one? I like the idea of adjustable height and it looks to be more durable than the standard 944 design.

I have it, cut it down (the screw adjustment bottoms out on my 85.5 944, it still vibrates a bit and rattles, but I like it.

If if vibrates and rattles there is something else in the system wrong. Mine is firm and quite since day one till now 3-4 years later.

I bought the boot in the picture above from "Advanced Auto parts" on my local street corner for about $10.
