What is a good oil for the Southern States to put in my 87 944 Turbo?

My .02 Valvoline VR1 20W50 (Search ZDDP/ Zinc in the forum/ google)

My .02 Valvoline VR1 is a full synthetic racing oil and it may have higher Zinc but it has few if any detergents. Street cars need detergents! It's a very good dedicated track car oil but not for street use.

Brad Penn 20W-50 is a semi-synthetic with a very high Zinc content and the correct detergents for a street driven car. Its ideal for our cars in every way.

Not saying your wrong, just clarifying to the op the VR1 is a racing oil.
