There are actually two of them. One is a long black board one closer to the backseat held down by 2 bolts. The other is a smaller plain wood board towards the drivers side. Ideas on what these are or why they were added? Thanks

Possibly for stereo equipment mounting (amps, etc). Definitely not stock or original to the car atleast not in any 944 I have seen.

yea prob for amps and whatnots. the white fabricy thing is covering your fuel pump access port.

thanks, thats what I assumed but wasnt sure.

i am selling the car and a potential buyer was asking about them and I didnt have a good answer other than what you guys had guessed.
