How far is too far gone for sport seats???
Picked up a new parts car yesterday. Wanted the manual rack out of it and can sell the 3 Fuch wheels on it and cover purchase price. Everythign else will be gravey. Question is how far is 'to far gone' for sport seats? I know I can buy a re-kit on ebay for around $350. But what are the 'death' for seats? I have zero experience in this area. Just hate to throw them on the fire if they may be worth something to someone when re-worked.

I'd like to know as well... I actually just bought a set of early sports about an hour ago haha. Plan on recovering them...

Not trying to thread jack, still on topic, but how much $$ would a shop charge for a recover and minor repairs? My dad thinks it'll be $200 for the set but I feel like it'll be more like twice that..

Way more than that, I got a quote for my old Camaro (it had ONE RIP on the driver's side seat) and they said they'd replace that one piece of leather alone for $200.
Oh, they were gonna add a bit of foam too.

You have to hand it to Butters, he is not afraid to try things on his car other Porsche owners would have a mental breakdown if they saw it.
No worries about hyjacking dude. All here to learn and enjoy.
