A cooling system pressurizer makes finding leaks SO MUCH EASIER!!! No more hot engine & coolant, fan & belts blowing everything around, etc. Also very helpful when burping the system after a coolant change.
Just make sure you get the type that twists on to the overflow bottle, like the OEM cap. Originally bought a "universal" type tester, with jaws that clamped around the bottle's neck. However, was not able to get a secure seal; the plastic would bend enough for the jaws to slide off. Later bought a different tester (Stant?) that attaches like the OEM cap. Work's great!

PB Blaster,
All hand tools available, but seriously I have been working on Porsche's for the better part of my life at this point and have used almost every kind of socket adapter, extender, and wrench combo you can imagine. I have found it best not to try and preemptively buy tools, when im working on a project if I need a specific tool I go and buy it. A good air compressor ill also always come in handy. Much like any collection you will find your tool collection growing over the years.
Regards
Dave

a set of 'shorty' wrenches!
My GOD!! After dealing with the exhaust headers all day, and the struts...I've decided that goes on the list. Be GREAT to use that to hold the bolt, while it turns it will catch something easier (and fit in small places).
Oh, and those rachet wrenches saved my *** doing the headers

Plus 1 on the 6 point sockets. The timing belts tools( curved 24mm wrench, Bal shaft wrench & flywheel lock are handy for sure. Long and short high quality metric allen/ hex sockets and 12 point cheesehead triple squares are a must( do not save money on these ). Wobble extensions, flex head ratchets, flex head ratching combo wrenches and both long & short ratching wrenches will make certain jobs alot eaiser to complete. Im not beholden to any brand of tools( Mac, Hazet, USAG, Snap ON, Matco, Craftsman for all sockets), so I have shopped around and picked up what I need over time on E bay and craigslist. These cars tend to have oil leaks so a small UV light and UV shades are very useful for finding them Good luck
