Question Timing belt change before the track

Should I change the timing belt before going to the track? Or wait til after? I think I have 50k miles on it. Damn, it seems like I just changed it. I know you're supposed to do them at 30-40k, but what's a couple hundred miles more at this point?

I you guys twist my arm and make me do it, do I have to keep an eye on it at the track? Maybe even retension while there? What will those 6k rpm do to a new belt?

+951. Why risk sustained high rpm on an old belt?

I'd change it asap, then check and retension it the day before going.

I'm just lazy. I have a ton of other things to do to get ready and I don't feel like changing the belts. Not like it's hard or anything, it's just more time away from my comfy chair.

Maybe I'll recheck the tension after the first day at the track.

Orrrrrrr....I could start a record to see how long someone can go on a belt. Somehow I don't think you can win at that game though.

Well, I changed them. It only took 2 1/2 hours. And that was taking my time. It's not a job I like to rush because of the consequences. It was probably a good idea to change them. Thanks for twisting my arm. I can see cracks starting where the belt nibs meet the main portion of the belt. I got 47K miles out of it.
