Expansion Valve
I have a 85.5 944 and have made two attempts to get a replacement expansion avle and have recieved tow different types that are bothe different than I have installed in the car. My current expansion valve is the 90 degree brass type with the single temp sensing line attached. The first valve I recieved was the block style. the second is the 90 dregree type, but also has an additional small line coming off of it. I looked the valve up on several different suppliers sites and I am finding different valves all listed for the same car. Was there three different expansion valves used during the transition from the 85/1 to the 85/2. I have run across a few other items that were 85 not 86 on the car. When I replaced the brake pads they were 85 not 86.
Any help would be great as the temps are going up and I need to get the A/C up and running.

Give the dealer a call, they will tell you the correct part from your VIN. Sunset Porsche can get you the correct part with full factory warranty and they are cheaper than most. (no affiliation)...

I am not sure that it is bad just anted to be sure as I have to replace the compressor any why the system was open wanted to change any possible part that could be bad. I have not checked the high side pressure yet, but i have not been able to get vent temps below 50.
