Default Rebuilt A/C Compressors

I just found out the used compressor I got was complete trash so I am looking at my options. I would like to get a reman'd compressor to just be done with the job. 6 months ago there was a compressor rebuilder on ebay that was only $230 for a compressor and brand new dryer. CoolZoneACParts not sure if they are out or not. So I have 2 other reman choices.

Not sure the all black one would fit my 86 951?

the first one, the 6E171 will not fit your car. that is the early style compressor, like my car has. your car IIRC is a 10P15 or something of the sort.

Contact Coolzone via email from their ebay store. If they do not have a compressor listed they may be able to rebuild one for you. That is how I got mine from them. Compressor not only included a dryer, but also a new expansion valve.

May want to be careful with that one. The rebuild kits available no longer include the head gaskets. If either of your head gaskets are bad, you're out $50+ and still need a new compressor.

Bummer. My link applies only to early cars, and hence Butters.

I should have guessed that as a resident of southern California you would be an expert on 944 AC parts.
