your not gonna be competing for time on a race track so buy the cheap tiers, save the money and spend the it on something else you want for the car. plus if you buy expensive tiers you will feel bad when you wear them out/or get a flat.

If I listen to Michael and get 512's ==== Total cost $368
I feel like it'd be worth it to pitch in an extra 35 bucks for those Kuhmo's.

Sorry about all the multi-posting...

After further research, these Kuhmo's look BADASS! Best tread rating, 40,000 mile warranty, etc...

Whatever you do, do not get the Evo v12's, worst tire ever for a 944 with any sort of suspension. Scary lose and soft in the sidewalls. I took them back for a set of dunlop direzza z1 star specs, and now all is well in my world.

I have the falken 512's on my phone dials. They were cheap, I havent had any issues, and I like the way they ride.

The thing is Falken 512's are $368 a set year round. Kuhmo's without discount are $470 + without the deals. They're more expensive, at $420, but a better deal. I think...

Oh AND I might be getting a job at discount tire in the next few weeks. If I do, I'll have employee discount too. D.T. doesn't carry Falkens...

My bad. Falken wasn't available at tirerack, I was confused. So either way I'd get an employee discount on top of the already discounted kuhmos, or do the falkens which are cheaper to begin with, with no special deals.

i was going to suggest since you live in a warm area year round, toyo r888. good contact patch, good grip, great for track use, not bad on pricing

if you really are wanting to keep yourself strained in the money department, i like nexan or cooper. great tires, good grip, all season use.

My two factors are cost and tread wear/miles I can get on them. Kuhmo's still on top for both those categories...

What a rip! I just priced Bridgestone Somethings at Costco a week or so ago and it was going to be just over a grand! They even put N2 in them! Such a deal! I guess I'm going to do a border run this summer. Less than 500? Rats.

The 500 saved will give me a nice weekend in somewhere like Stowe instead of giving it to the criminals here.

We always get the proverbial shaft up here. I figured I did alright with my BFG G Force Super Sports for $850.00 installed/balanced with chrome valvestems. 225/50/16 and 205/55/16. Nice tires though.
