Default Swapping seat backs?

can you swap the seat backs on a 85.5 944? the drivers side bolster is worn and if I could I would like to swap it with the passenger side till I recover or replace.
thanks.

it's easier if you take them out but it's not necessary. the seats come right out anyway.

I changed mine out (I actually bought another passenger seat to fix my driver) and did it in less than an hour with no instructions...it's really straightforward.

I did mine, very simple although they were out of the car when I did them. I think you could easily swap them in the car.

Has anyone switched a non-powered back to a powered back seat? Im trying to switch the backs on my 94' 968, but hit a snap. The drivers is 8-way power, the passenger is not. The passenger side comes off with the removal of (2) bolts on each side. The driver side looks like it has something going through the seat at the bottom. Any help would be appreciated.

To follow-up... the non-powered back fits just fine on the powered back base, but there is no adjustment. One would manually need to put in the square motor to seat frame linkage and rotate into position. Fine for the temporary, not for the long term. I have no put the powered-back on th enon powered base but suspect that would not be a problem.
