Default temp sensor vs temp guage sensor

There's a temp sensor that connects to the vacuum line system and goes to the throttle body base and a a valve at the rear of the engine. There should also be a temp sensor that feeds the temp guage. Which input if any sends into to the DME to control fuel mixture or is that all controlled by the 02 sensor? What's the function of the vacuum temp sensor? I'm trying to track down reasons that my car is still struggling under heavy accel (see other posting about stumbling acceleration).

The only sensor I can think of that connects to vacuum lines is the one at the rear of the engine and that is for emmisions. There are two temp sensors at the front of the engine, one is for the guage the other is for the dme. Look on Clarks, both listed there with troubleshooting.

I have a jar full of those temp sensors (DME/gauge) if you need some.
