no doubt 1st was cv it was in pcs ...***** all over. when rain stops will pulll next one. So there is no specific oreintation?

Pulled it found the ring that holds the ***** had popped off around the inned hub. Time for 1 more replacement.

Check the transaxle mount, it may be so sloppy that it's swinging side to side, putting stress on the CV's. Did the 2nd one break after a short drive?

Nope in the driveway when i 1st let the clutch out

The CV joints should not just break like that. With the car in the air make sure gearbox is turning properly.
