I have an annoying sound/vibration that occurs only at 2000RPM. I took a video of it, first bouncing from 1900 to 2100, then just revving, then again 1900-2100. Any ideas?
My jack just quit out on me, so i gotta buy a new one, or some ramps, or both lol. So i cant get a really good look at it just yet.
Thanks.

I may be off but see if the muffler heat shield had a crack somewhere or a loose screw. Mine has a 1cm crack on one corner and it made about the same sound ,quite loud too, i just bent that corner upwards for now.

It could also be that your front bearing of your torque tube has come apart and is no longer supporting the drive shaft.
The reason I bring this up is that the 944S2 and 968 torque tubes have a split at the front to about halfway down. This split widens with age and the front bearing unit can travel, get caught at an odd angle and come apart. This also damages the drive shaft a bit.
Below are two pictures, one of a 944S2 front bearing unit taken through the split showing its insert above it on the drive shaft. Notice the damage to the drive shaft too. The other picture shows the same bearing unit and delaminated insert after it was removed from the torque tube.
Our website has a special spot on this very problem.
Due to these problems with the split torque tubes, we no longer offer rebuilds of the 944S2 or 968 torque tubes.

Could this be my culprit?

That's on the Catalytic Converter.
And should just about any muffler shop be able to fix it? Thanks.
*Hoping it's not what Constantine suggested.....*
