Default Door lock switch won't work

The console mounted door lock switch on my '90 S2 doesn't seem to work. The mechanism is activated - you can hear the sound - but the doors don't lock/unlock. The strange thing, to me, is both doors lock/unlock when using the key in the drivers side door handle.

Any help is appreciated!

Take the door cars off......you will see that most likely the central locking rods have seperated from the locks....they are made of the same quality plastic as the sunroof gears.

Here is a link to the part on Pelican....the nice thing is that $4.50 a piece....probably one of the cheapest fixes.

Part number is 944-537-511-00

Thank you!

So the central locking system uses a different linkage than the way the door locks are tied together? (Because the passenger door unlocks with the drivers side door when using the key, but not with the console button.)
