Default changing rear wheel studs

Can the rear wheel studs be changed without taking the hubs off ?
Do you think i will have enough space to push them through only by taking the disc and parking brake shoes off ?

I suppose it depends on the car. They definitely would not fit without hub removal or cutting a notch in the trailing arm om my 86 951

Yes can be done. But I found mine had been in SO VERY long it was easier to pull the hub and have it in a vise so my friendly hammer has easier to work with.

How big a deal is pulling and replacing the hub? Do you have to mess with the wheel bearing? I assume the axle nut should not be re-used. Haven't found the part no. for that.

That nut is so tight that i prefer not taking it off if not needed to.

Changed the studs yesterday ,they came out easy ,lots of space to get the old ones out but not enough to put the longer 66mm studs in.
I took the hand brake cable out and used that hole to feed the studs in ,easy but time consuming.
