lookin good! Olli- no euro bumpers allowed in spec- they would get toasted anyway prob. Sammy definitly had me busy for three months straight, but i think the car turned out great and hopefully finishes some races this year. I finished his car inbetween working on my spec car which is now almost done. Cant wait to see them both on the track.

Thanks guys!

Oil catch can was Saikou Michi (sp?), runs inline between AOS and j-boot.

Alan - it ran well, temps and pressures were great all day. On lap 4 it started smoking and I thought it was a goner - oil pressure was still great though. I drove it in and checked the catch can - full of oil, pulled the j-boot and it was full of oil. Not sure if it was just overfilled, rings seating or a combo. It greatly improved over the course of the day and ended with the oil level in between low/full, I think I pulled over a quart out of the catchcan. Prob pull the intake this week just to check it out - changed the oil many times on the 951 w/o ever having a problem but ???? Might get a leakdown done just to rule it out but it could have been my error I guess.

Cleaned it up today and pulled the 951 out for a quick pic...

your catch can experience is exactly why i asked. i am getting some oil in the intake but i am not sure what is considered normal. i dont know if what i am seeing is a result of a AOS issue, excessive blow by, or completely normal.

I have the same catch can on my turbo and it catches an oily/fuel mix - in very small quantities. Nothing like what this was catching (straight oil).

let me know what you find. (though, your problem seems much worse than mine)

a major blow by issue would pressurize the line to your can would it not?

Sam, glad to hear it's ok. You know you really need to pass a GT3RS, and get it on video.

I think I've been having similar problems with the v8 and overfilling my oil. Its hard to tell what the oil level is supposed to be when you have an external filter and cooler.

Cant wait to see it in person! Hope to see it at Fest.

Does Dan ever sleep? I'm thinking I could pick up 6 hours a day of productivity if I stopped sleeping. I'll sign up for the "Eliminate your mattress and put an end to those nights of slumber through hypnosis with Dan Jauch! In your city soon, seats are filling up fast!"

It will be there for sure. Dan is nuts! He runs on Jimmy Johns and Yuengling.
