Default FPR differneces?

What are the differences between a FPR for an '89 N/A and for an '86 951?

Seems my fuel pump started to whine today in my 951. It has been upper seventies and I was driving it a lot today and didn't notice it until after a long drive. I do not have a gauge to check my fuel pressure right now but I do have a brand new FPR from my '89 NA. I thought maybe if my regulator was taking a **** it could be forcing the pump to work very hard and whine like it is. By looking at pelican the FPR for an '89 is listed by itself but I don't see what the different ratings are. Is it a bad idea to try swapping my new regulator for an '89 with the regulator in my 86 turbo?
