Wink

A couple of things.

First off early 944 came with factory spacers, lots of Porsches do. Including late model stuff. There are factory wheel spacers for my Cayenne Turbo.

The spacer does not do anything to a wheel bearing that a wheel Witt the same total offset doesn't do!!

There are also factory long studs for this application.

Not like this is some back woods duct tape solution..

Also, to the OP! I'm in Denver and have at least one set of the wheel spacers if you want to come give them a try!

I have the Cup 2s and Cup 3's for my 86 951. Same offset... I run 1.5" (37.5 mm) adapters in back and 1" (25 mm) adapters up front. The advantage, IMHO, to the adapters is you don't have to swap out the studs and the price is similar if not less than the spacers. You can find adapters on eBay all day long for <$100 an axle.

Here's a couple of pics to demonstrate what the wheels look like (how they look under the fenders) with this size adapters on the car.....

HTH

Yeah I know.... Really organized garage, right.... NOT!!
