I thought id post some picks of the rear end repair. Still thinking of doing the 968 rear once Im dont with the repair.

very cool. i love this sort of stuff. are you cutting the rear from another car to replace, or use stock? i like the chair, if you have the other seat-i'd like to see it made into a creeper

I have a black panel cut from another car.
A creeper would be cool. I only got 1 old ratty seat to do a mock up. Its a manual seat, bot the slider and recline work as well as the lift.

Some pics from last night. After a lot more trimming and grinding I was able to get a good test fitment. If all goes well I should be welding this weekend.

Yeah Sam that Keg is one of my boil kettles. The good kegs are in the fridge. swing by some time for a good brew. Right now I have a Chocolate Stout infused with Vanilla Rum. We finished the Black IPA last night.

Sean, you are making excellent progress on the S2! what have you decided to the collapsed rear section under the carpet in the hatch?

There is a small 5" section of the frame rail that will get cut out and I will fab in a new piece. I will actually be working on that tomorrow. Ill take some pics and post them tomorrow.

Can I see a higher-res picture of the surface of the quarter panel that mates to the rear panel if you have one?
