I bought a 1983 porsche 944 for my daily driver and absolutely fell in love, 18 hours later i blew the motor!!!
I am currently in the process of removing the cam shaft from the assembly and cleaning it because while polishing the lettering i got fine metal shavings in the housing.
Does anyone have any instructions and torque specs on the installation? any help would be greatly appreciated...
Also ive been reading that buying a new tower is easier but ive already spent 2 grand on parts for the rebuild and am pretty well out of cash...

remove the ignition rotor, remove the set screw holding the rotor mount to the shaft. break loose the cam bolt, the gear comes off, remove the rear gear cover, camshaft should slide out.
tap your socket into the cam bolt very well, dont be afraid to use penetrant and some heat if necessary.

Yup, Clark's has everything. Putting some oil on the cam circles is a good idea. It is a tight fit in there.
