Ditto on the 18x10 ET65 - with 295/30/18 tires on my 968. Ride quality with Koni Yellows is definitely much stiffer. Of course stiffness and ride quality are subjective....

Has to be offset. I have zeroed in on new rims ET65 18X10. Thats the proper solution.

After that have ride height and alignment done. Thanks for all of your tips and tricks.

Here's how I solved the problem - Wheel DYNAMICS 993 Turbo Twist wheels, 18x7.5 et50 and 18x10 et65

Almost had an issue. Apparently PO upgraded to Turbo brakes up front and the caliper clears the et50 wheel by about 2mm. Nice news on the brakes and wheels. Note sure if I like the gunmetal with white car but I'm getting used to it.

I'm now running Hankook R-S3 245 in front and 285 in back.

I tried 18 X 10's on my '87 N/A and when I made right turns under acceleration, the left outside fender lip rubbed on the tire. I sold the wheels reluctantly. Then I bought a set of 17" Cayman wheels and tires and the issue was the same. So....since the tires on the 17's were larger diameter than my original tires I used Tire Rack's data tools to find not only the right diameter tires but also tires with 1/8" less tread width than the Cayman tires and the problem is gone. I still have proper fitting tires for the rims and a big tire patch and no rubbing any longer. I recommend giving this process consideration to fix your rubbing problems.

You know Porsche corner balanced the car from the factory, so when you're not sitting in it the passenger side will be lower than the driver side.

Also, it's been observed by many 944 and 968 owners that there is a very slight asymmetry with the offset on the rear hubs. The rear suspension assembly is rarely mounted perfectly centered, so there might be a few mm less offset on one side compared to the other. So wheels that should theoretically "barely clear" might rub on one side.

I don't know if you already considered those, but with your new wheels it's moot anyway.

I'm not sure but I think there's a size limit for uploading JPGs, like 140kb or something. There's a little message when you're trying to upload that tells you. Maybe you could resize it? I'm guessing the pic is larger than 1024x768 - it wouldn't fit in most people's screens, so resizing it would be a good thing.
